Seriously injured man found in the field
A seriously injured man has been found in a field next to railroad tracks in the Upper Palatinate. A 92-year-old discovered the 65-year-old man on Sunday in Poppenricht (Amberg-Sulzbach district), as the police announced on Monday. According to initial investigations, the injured man was walking along the railroad tracks and was presumably thrown into the field by the suction of a passing train. He was rescued by the fire department and mountain rescue team and taken to hospital.
The incident is being treated as an emergency, as the 65-year-old man was found near railroad tracks in OBERPFALZ. This area is known for its vast fields, which may have contributed to the man being thrown into one during the incident.
