Accident in Eggenfelden - Seriously injured 80-year-old after collision with E-Scooter

A 80-year-old pedestrian was severely injured in an accident with a 16-year-old E-Scooter rider in Eggenfelden (Rottal-Inn district). The teenager had been riding on the pavement on Friday and had rung a bell, the police reported. The pedestrian then turned to the left. It seems there was a misunderstanding about who was supposed to yield, and there was a collision.

The pedestrian had to be taken to a hospital. The police are investigating against the teenager for reckless bodily harm.

The accident involving the E-Scooter and the elderly pedestrian occurred in the town of Eggenfelden, situated in the Rottal-Inn district. Due to the collision, the pedestrian suffered severe injuries and was transported to a hospital. The incident resulted in police initiating an investigation against the 16-year-old E-Scooter rider, citing reckless bodily harm as the allegation. In the aftermath of the incident, traffic in Bayern, or Bavaria, was briefly disrupted due to police investigations.
