One seriously injured - Serious accident on the Europabrücke bridge in Koblenz
A truck has blocked the on-ramp to the Europabridge in Koblenz after a serious accident. According to the police, the truck came off the road on the B9 section of the bridge heading north and broke through the guardrail.
It fell about 4 to 5 meters into the depth and overturned on the on-ramp to the bridge. The driver was seriously injured. Another vehicle was damaged due to the fall, as the police further reported. However, the occupant was unharmed.
The on-ramp citybound to the Europabridge is currently completely closed. Traffic on the bridge itself flows one-way in the north direction. Therefore, traffic disruptions are still expected around the accident scene until the afternoon.
