Seoane plans to play both central attackers in Dortmund
After four competitive matches in a row without defeat, Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Gerardo Seoane is not worried about the clash with Borussia Dortmund. In the 103rd meeting between the two traditional clubs, Dortmund's home record has been unblemished for almost ten years. BVB have won 16 of their last 17 home games against the visitors from the Lower Rhine. "It doesn't matter," said Seoane ahead of Saturday's match (3.30 p.m.) in the packed Dortmund Stadium.
"We know what a task it is," said the Swiss. "You need a complete performance as a team. We have to be prepared to work defensively," demanded the head coach, who has recently won three home games in a row with his team and only lost one of five away games.
Goalkeeper Jonas Omlin (shoulder) and defender Ko Itakura (ankle) are still missing from the starting line-up. In attack, both central forwards, Jordan Siebatcheu and Tomas Cvancara, can have justified hopes of playing. "We will need both of them, in whatever order, or both of them together for a while," explained Seoane.
Despite the challenges, Seoane believes Soccer matches in the Bundesliga between Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach require a collective team effort. With their impressive form, both central attackers, Jordan Siebatcheu and Tomas Cvancara, might have a chance to contribute in the upcoming Bundesliga clash.
