At the Senate meeting, the concern over the food service provider responsible for providing school lunches was not addressed. As Senate spokeswoman Christine Richter mentioned, "It wasn't on the agenda today." Nonetheless, the Education Administration is proactively collaborating with the educational districts and the catering company to develop a strategy that guarantees seamless operations and reliable meal delivery.

The Green Party and the Left Party, however, voice their disapproval. They have proposed a discussion on the matter during the initial post-summer break session, entitled: "Mismanaged School Beginning: Lack of Meals, Hungry Students, Insufficient Teaching Staff."

Green faction leader Sebastian Walter reprimanded the coalition, stating, "The school meal fiasco illustrates that the coalition is incapable of establishing effective processes in the city." He also questioned the government's plan to address the issues, stating, "The timeline was too narrow, the quantities were underestimated. We will demand answers in the upcoming meeting: What steps does the government intend to take to address these shortcomings?"

Following the summer break, various Berlin schools reported problems with a sole catering company that, according to the Education Administration, serves around 100 institutions. The issues ranged from delayed delivery, inadequate supplies, and meals served at subpar temperatures.

The Green Party and the Left Party are planning to discuss the issue during the initial post-summer break session, focusing on the mismanagement of school beginnings, including hungry students and insufficient teaching staff due to meal-related issues at numerous schools. The concerns over the catering company serving schools in Berlin have prompted questions from the Green faction leader Sebastian Walter, who criticizes the coalition's inability to establish effective processes and questions the government's plan to address the issue.
