Officers Investigating Incident - SEK operation underway in Benediktbeuern.

On Monday, officers from the special ops unit of the police arrested a 34-year-old man at his apartment in Benediktbeuern, which is located in the Bad-Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. The police in Kochel am See were alerted about a potential dangerous situation related to the man's mental state around noon. Because they had evidence that both he and others were at risk, they sent in a team of expert negotiators and a special ops squad. Residents of nearby buildings were asked to leave for their own safety. Hours later, the man was safely apprehended without struggle. No one got hurt, the police confirmed. They declined to provide more details.

In light of the incident, a special task force from the County of Bavaria was called to assist the local police in Benediktbeuern. Due to the nature of the emergencies, the special task force is actively coordinating efforts with the police in Kochel am See.
