- SEK detained suspects in apartment
The SEK arrested a 25-year-old in his apartment in Viersen this morning. He is suspected of being involved in an extortion kidnapping in July. The victim was also a 25-year-old man from Wuppertal. According to the Criminal Code, extortion kidnapping involves an abduction that is accompanied by extortion.
During the raid, the special forces used an explosive charge. However, no one was injured in the detonation. The police and public prosecutor's office in Mönchengladbach did not initially provide further details.
