Eviction - SEK deployed on the roof of the occupied Dondorf printing plant
A special task force (SEK) was also involved in the eviction of a squatted former print shop in Frankfurt on Friday. A police spokesperson confirmed the operation. This had been part of the planning from the beginning and was not due to a current situation, said the spokesperson. He assumed that the situation would remain peaceful.
According to the police, eleven activists were still on the roof of the former Dondorf printing works in the Bockenheim district on Friday afternoon. The collective spoke of twelve activists. By Friday morning, three activists had left the roof voluntarily.
The collective "Die Druckerei" has been occupying the former Dondorf printing works in Frankfurt's Bockenheim district for the second time this year since last weekend. They are demanding the preservation of the building as an industrial and cultural monument. It is to be demolished to make way for a new building for the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics (MPIEA).
