Personalized [or] Tailored Officers Regulating Borders and Trade - Seized: Over 200,000 Euros Worth of Cocaine
In a significant seizure, the main customs office in Koblenz uncovered more than 3.5 kilograms of cocaine at the Belgian border on May 30th. This large quantity, found inside the vehicle, is estimated to be worth over €200,000. The Koblenz customs office revealed this news publicly on Friday.
The vehicle was allegedly en route from Albania to Belgium, say officials. The young driver, aged 23, initially denied carrying any drugs but later failed a drug test, testing positive for cocaine. Due to suspicions that the driver may have taken drugs prior to the journey, authorities initiated a charge against him for driving while under the influence of drugs. He is now in custody for further investigation.
