Urgent Situations - Secondary school encountering irritant gas incident leaves multiple students hurt.
Previously, at the Johann-Rieder-Realschool, a student sprayed a can full of chili and other irritating substances towards other students who were using the bathroom at the same time. This resulted in discomfort for ten students and a rather strong foul odor.
At first, the emergency responders thought they might need to send a rescue helicopter because they didn't know the full extent of the casualties. Their worries were unfounded, however, as on arrival, all students involved were examined and none required hospitalization. The fire department from Rosenheim aired out the restroom to rid it of the offensive smell.
The police have since begun an investigation into the incident, suspecting that it could be classified as a case of dangerous bodily harm.
