Second week of negotiations at world climate conference in Dubai begins
Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens) will lead the negotiations at ministerial level on behalf of the German government. Officially, the 28th UN Climate Change Conference is due to end next Tuesday, but in recent years there has always been a significant overrun. According to climate scientists and the UN, the global community is still a long way from achieving the Paris Climate Agreement's goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees if possible.
