VfB Stuttgart has won the second game of its Japan tour. The Swabian Bundesliga football team defeated Sanfrecce Hiroshima 5-2 (1-0) in another friendly match. Previously, the team coached by Sebastian Hoeneß had won 5-3 at Kyoto Sanga, coming back from a 0-3 deficit.

The goals for the runners-up were scored by Angelo Stiller (19th minute), the two returning loan players Ömer Beyaz (63rd) and Thomas Kastanaras (68th), new signing Nick Woltemade (79th), and Moussa Cissé (90+2). For the hosts, who are 11th in the J-League, Yotaro Nakajima equalized ten minutes after the break. Additionally, Marcos Junior scored a direct free kick in the 76th minute.

After the friendly, the VfB returned to Germany, where the official season opener against Athletic Bilbao from Spain is scheduled for Saturday (3:15 PM).

Following their victory over Sanfrecce Hiroshima, VfB Stuttgart preparations for the new season continue strongly. Despite a 5-2 win, they face a challenging fixture against Athletic Bilbao in their first Bundesliga match of the season.
