Transfer - Second division club Nuremberg signs pick from Heidenheim

Football-Second League team 1. FC Nürnberg have signed Florian Pick. The winger joins from 1. FC Heidenheim to the "Club", as the Franconians announced on Thursday. The 28-year-old is a free agent, as his contract in Heidenheim was not extended. The departure was already announced by the First League club at the end of May.

Pick played on the left wing in 22 Bundesliga games last season - however, only once in the starting line-up and mostly as a late substitute.

"Our goal is to put together a young and developing squad", said FCN sports director Joti Chatzialexiou in the announcement. "With the signing of Florian Pick, we are bringing in a certain balance to our team. He is very familiar with the league and will help us with his mentality to have a successful season."
