Basketball Bundesliga - Second defeat of the season for champions Ulm
Defending champions ratiopharm Ulm have conceded their second defeat of the season in the German Basketball League. The league leaders surprisingly lost 89:107 (52:55) to the Rostock Seawolves in their own arena on Sunday. Rostock laid the foundation for its unexpected success in the third quarter, which it won by 29:18. Rostock's best scorer was Derrick Alston Jr. with 24 points. Karim Jallow scored 20 points for Ulm.
The top clash between Alba Berlin and Bayern Munich scheduled for Sunday had to be canceled due to the snow chaos in the Bavarian capital. "The reason for the postponement is the heavy onset of winter in Munich and the surrounding area, which makes it impossible for the visiting team to travel to Berlin the day before the game," the league announced. The decision was made in consultation with both clubs. It remains to be seen when the clash between the two Euroleague clubs will be rescheduled.
