Shortly before Christmas, the Rostock Seawolves made two personnel decisions. One professional has to leave, while another will stay until the end of the season.

Basketball Bundesliga - Seawolves release professional basketball player

The Rostock Seawolves and point guard Mike Smith will go their separate ways in the future. The US American has been released, as the Bundesliga basketball club announced on Monday evening. The reasons for the move were not disclosed, according to the press release. Smith was injured early in the season and only played two Bundesliga games and three games in the Fiba Europe Cup for the Seawolves.

By contrast, the Mecklenburg club extended Yasin Kolo's contract until the end of the season. The center was originally only supposed to replace the injured Till Gloger for two months.
