Seawolves fight for victory against Göttingen

After three defeats in a row, the Rostock Seawolves have recorded another win in the German Basketball League. The team of Head Coach Christian Held managed a 96:92 (45:50) win against BG Göttingen, who came to the game in second-to-last place in the table, in the Stadthalle on Saturday evening. The best scorer for the club from Mecklenburg was Derrick Alston (24 points).

The Seawolves were already six points ahead midway through the first quarter, but then had problems finishing off their offensive moves successfully. Göttingen equalized thanks to two threes and then also took the lead. The visitors stretched that lead to nine points at one stage, but the Seawolves fought their way back into the game and reduced the deficit to 43:44 with just under two minutes to go before the break.

After the break, Chevez Goodwin and Alston almost single-handedly turned the game around again. However, it was then Sid-Marlon Theis who scored important buckets in the fiercely contested final spell to pave the way for his team's third win of the season.

Despite their previous struggles, the Rostock Seawolves' men's basketball team showed resilience, even in Bundesliga matches, as they overcame a struggling Göttingen team 96-92. Despite facing challenges early in the game, the Seawolves' star Derrick Alston scored 24 points, contributing significantly to the Seawolves' victory over the Rostock Seawolves' Bundesliga opponents, the Göttingen team.
