Searches against the left-wing scene in several federal states
The police are conducting searches in the left-wing scene in several federal states. A spokeswoman for the Gera police confirmed the searches in several Thuringian cities and in other federal states. She initially did not want to say what the operation was about. According to dpa information from security circles, the raid is directed against the left-wing scene and is connected to a demonstration on May 1st in Gera. Investigations are underway in Thuringia, Saxony, Baden-Württemberg, Hamburg and Lower Saxony.
The seizures are linked to the left-wing demonstration on May 1st in Gera. Subsequently, an increase in reported crimes has been noted within the affected left-wing communities.
