An ongoing search for a primary school student named Valeriia from Döbeln, Saxony, persists without success. As a spokesperson for the Chemnitz Police Department informed the German Press Agency, the investigation primarily focuses on the Döbeln environment, and residents' questioning is predicted to finish by Wednesday. Approximately 70 police officers have been actively involved since early morning.

According to the authorities, Valeriia was last noticed on Monday morning as she was en route to school. She typically took the short bus journey to her destination. However, it was discovered later that she had not attended classes. Visual evidence and witness accounts indicate her absence from the bus on that morning. The law enforcement officials plea for the public's assistance. Residents are urged to check their gardens, cellars, garages, and sheds.

The Education Authority is also involved in the efforts. As their spokesperson, Clemens Arndt, responded to an inquiry, "We are now investigating why the parents did not receive information from the school." They clarified that in cases where a student's absence is detected, schools generally contact their parents to verify their whereabouts. "We need to figure out why this procedure did not occur at the school." Ordinarily, schools would reach out to parents by the second school hour. Previously, the "Bild" newspaper had reported on investigations initiated by the school supervision.

The police have been intensely engaged in the case the entire day. Based on police spokespeople, they are working "under intense pressure" on this case. The probing efforts entail several directions, with the possibility of a violent crime not entirely ruled out. On Wednesday, the emergency police were summoned. Furthermore, special dogs were once again enlisted. "Area dogs" scoured forests, fields, and meadows, while "trash dogs" searched through demolished structures. Despite these efforts, no new details regarding the child's whereabouts have emerged. On Tuesday, the city and the river valley of the Freiberg Mulde had been thoroughly inspected.

Valeriia's approximate height is 1.40 meters, with dark blonde, medium-length hair. She was attired in a lavender shirt, black jeans, a light turquoise jacket, and dark blue ankle-high shoes on Monday morning, coupled with a pink backpack. It's also mentioned that she has a limited knowledge of German. Public tip-offs can be directed to the Chemnitz Criminal Police at the telephone number 0371 387 3488.
