UEFA European Championship - Scotland faces DFB in their first training session, as Robertson is declared fit.

Scotland's first training session for the Euro 2024 opener has taken place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. On a rainy day, coach Steve Clarke led his team through their paces with hundreds of spectators, including young kids, looking on.

Careful with Robertson

Captain Andy Robertson from Liverpool FC experienced some problems after training due to a blow he received. But assistant coach John Carver quickly calmed everyone's nerves. "He's fine," said the English coach. Even those who were doubted are expected to participate in the next session on Tuesday. Then, the team will truly begin to prepare for their match against Germany.

"It's time to step it up on Friday"

Manchester United's midfielder Scott McTominay, who wasn't able to train fully in the days prior, was already present at practice on Monday near the renowned Kandahar ski run. The 27-year-old, who scored seven goals in the qualifiers, is most likely available for the opening match against Germany's selection on Friday. "It's time to step it up on Friday, and we need to make sure we're prepared for that," said the 59-year-old Carver.

"A team with hearts"

"As mayor, I already have a team of hearts - and that's the Scots," said the first mayor Elisabeth Koch at the stadium microphone. Not many Scottish flags could be seen in the stadium near the Zugspitze. A man in a kilt was also watching the first training session of the Scottish team, who arrived in Bavaria on Sunday evening.

The Scots have their hopes set on causing an upset with their classic football skills. However, they're certainly the underdogs in Group A. After Germany, Switzerland, and Hungary are the other teams they'll be facing.
