Cold Case - Schoolgirl murdered in 1985: hope for clues to the crime
Investigators in the Hanover region are hoping for clues to the murder of a 15-year-old schoolgirl in 1985 with posters, flyers and a reward of 5,000 euros. The campaign is to take place on Wednesday and Thursday in the Burgwedel and Isernhagen catchment area, police announced on Monday. The body of the missing Ulla L. was found by two walkers on the afternoon of February 10, 1985.
According to previous findings, the girl was last seen alive in the early evening of January 23, 1985, before disappearing without a trace. More than two weeks later, the unclothed body of the teenager was found in a wooded area on the state road 381 between Großburgwedel and Fuhrberg. That is why the investigators in this so-called cold case are turning to the residents in the catchment area.
According to the investigators, a red sweatshirt that had belonged to the victim but had been worn by one of the suspects at the time after his disappearance plays an important role. This sweatshirt had been discovered with other clothing belonging to the girl in an adjacent wooded area. The suspicion against the suspect at the time was not confirmed, which is why the murder case remains unsolved.
