- School-based traffic regulations commence, revealing 471 instances of non-compliance

At the beginning of the educational year, law enforcement in Brandenburg boosted their patrols around schools and daycares, closely monitoring traffic. In these thorough examinations across the state, a staggering 471 traffic law infractions were uncovered, with 219 of those being speeding violations. Moreover, there were 145 instances of disregarding traffic regulations.

Besides the authorities, the Landesverkehrswacht and ADAC were also present, engaging with children and parents as they headed to school, providing guidance on "safe school pathways".

In the previous academic year, Brandenburg's policemen documented 226 incidents on "school routes" involving children. A total of 186 children suffered injuries due to these incidents. During the same year, a whopping 719 traffic accidents involving children were reported by the Brandenburg police, tragically claiming the lives of two little ones.

Starting the new school year, the principal sent out a reminder to parents about the "Start of school" protocols, asking them to adhere to the safe school pathways to ensure their children's safety. Recognizing the importance of this initiative, the local government decided to expand the safety measures around schools, making the "Start of school" period a priority for enhanced traffic monitoring.
