The SPD, being a key component of the "Traffic Light" coalition, is eager to address the pressing challenges ahead. Despite the CDU/CSU, Greens, and FDP's past attempt at forming a coalition known as the Jamaica coalition, which failed to materialize in 2017, Scholz and his SPD now lead this new coalition.
