Scholz journeys to Solingen following lethal assault

Following the schedule, there was a chat with deployment teams at 10:15 AM, followed by a joint press announcement at 10:35 AM. There was an immense presence of law enforcement officers to ensure the safety of the visit.

On a bustling city festival night on Friday, three individuals met their end and eight others were injured in a brutal stabbing incident. The prime suspect turned themselves in the next day. The Federal Prosecutor is currently probing the case under allegations of terrorism. Wüst made a visit to Solingen on Saturday, accompanied by figures like Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser (SPD).

The festival organizers requested additional support from the local Police to manage the crowd due to the heightened tension following the stabbing incident. After the visit, Wüst and Faeser held a meeting with city officials to discuss enhancing security measures in the area.
