- Scholz is captivated by the assistance provided by automobiles.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) paid a visit to the ADAC roadside assistance facility in Ludwigsfelde, receiving a comprehensive briefing on their operations. According to Kathleen Andersohn, who guided Scholz around, "He seemed eager to hang around longer and absorb more information."
Following the tour, Scholz discreetly departed and moved on to his forthcoming appointment during his summer journey through his constituency. "I wish I could've probed him about whether he's an ADAC member or has ever reached out to them," Andersohn admitted later, lamenting her missed chance.
During this summer sojourn, Chancellor Scholz is exploring several locations within his Brandenburg district. On a Thursday, he inspected the newly-built synagogue in Potsdam. Scholz predominantly poses questions throughout these visits and isn't particularly talkative. During the previous summer, he attended a citizen dialogue event. Regrettably, no such event is scheduled for this year's summer trip.
After the tour, Scholz expressed interest in extending his visit, possibly indicating his enjoyment of the ADAC facilities during his summer trip. Later on, Andersohn wished she had asked Scholz about his ADAC membership or interactions with the organization, missing out on a potential conversation during the trip.
