Scholz aims for victory in the 2025 Federal Elections and intends to become Chancellor again.

A journalist asked Scholz if he was not going to follow the example of US President Joe Biden and give up a re-run. Scholz thanked him "for the very nice and friendly question" right away.

Scholz, currently a chancellor candidate for the SPD, expressed his intentions to seek the position of Chancellor in the 2025 Federal Election. A recent survey revealed a high value in favor of Scholz becoming the next Chancellor. Despite this, some speculate that Olaf Scholz might consider relinquishing another run, akin to US President Joe Biden's decision.
