In the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm region of Upper Bavaria, a firefighter tragically lost his life during a rescue operation in the middle of the night. Persistent rain showers for multiple days have caused flooding in numerous spots, with the worst affected regions being Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. This has forced hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes. Emergency workers are working around the clock to address the issue.
