- Schlotterbeck hopes to stay in Dortmund as a filling jug

Nico Schlotterbeck, amidst transfer rumors surrounding Niclas Füllkrug, expresses his wish for the striker to stay with Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. The German national player told Sky TV: "I'd be really happy if he stays, because then we'd have him and the other three guys as top strikers up front." However, he added that this is not his area of concern, as Füllkrug and the club need to sort it out. The 24-year-old joined Dortmund from SC Freiburg in 2022, while Füllkrug followed a year later from Werder Bremen. Recently, there have been numerous media reports about a possible departure of the 31-year-old Füllkrug, partly due to the arrival of striker Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart. West Ham United and AC Milan are said to be potential suitors. However, the new BVB coach Nuri Sahin has made it clear that Füllkrug plays a central role in his plans.

Nico Schlotterbeck's comments come amidst speculations about Niclas Füllkrug's future, with potential suitors like West Ham United and AC Milan mentioned. Despite Germany sharing the field with Füllkrug in the national team, Schlotterbeck hopes that the striker continues his career with Borussia Dortmund.
