Schleswig-Holstein's Finance Minister Heinold steps down after long tenure.
finance whiz Heinold has served as Kiel's Finance Minister for a decade, taking the role in February 2018 alongside her Deputy Minister-President position under Chief Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) of the ruling black-green coalition.
Hailing from an educational background, she's been a member of the Greens in the northernmost federal state since the 80s. From 1996 to 2012, she was a deputy member of the Landtag in Kiel before stepping into the Finance Ministry role.
Throughout her tenure, she's been part of diverse coalitions - initially, she was in a partnership with SPD and South Schleswig Voter's Association, then moved on to a three-way coalition of CDU, Greens, and FDP, and eventually settled in a two-party coalition of CDU and Greens.
