Schleswig-Holstein: 2.38 billion euros for youth welfare

Whether childcare, family support or educational counseling - Schleswig-Holstein will spend 2.38 billion euros on child and youth welfare in 2022. This is an increase of 13 percent compared to 2021, as announced by the Statistical Office for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein on Monday.

Finances - Schleswig-Holstein: 2.38 billion euros for youth welfare

Whether childcare, family support or educational counseling - Schleswig-Holstein will spend 2.38 billion euros on child and youth welfare in 2022. This is an increase of 13 percent compared to 2021, as announced by the Statistical Office for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein on Monday.

The largest share - a total of 1.68 billion euros - was spent on child daycare in 2022. This is an increase of 15 percent compared to the previous year. A further 519 million euros went towards educational assistance. This includes education in homes or foster families, educational counseling or socio-educational family support.
