Leisure time - Schauinslandbahn in the Black Forest temporarily closed
Passengers are temporarily unable to take the Schauinsland cable car in the Black Forest due to maintenance work. The cable car operated by Freiburger Verkehrs AG leads to the 1284-metre-high Schauinsland summit. As a dpa reporter reported on Thursday, experts were working on the cable pulleys of a support. Cable car traffic was interrupted as a result.
As the railroad announced on its website, the work, which began last month, will continue until Wednesday of next week (December 13). However, the cable car will be running at the weekend (December 9 and 10). The café and restaurant at the mountain station will then also be open.
