- Schalke's X account gets compromised, uttering: "They've targeted us now"
It seems that the social media account of lower league soccer team Schalke 04, which plays in division 2, has allegedly been breached. "Oops, we're in trouble too. #Hacker", Schalke 04 shared on the platform following multiple enigmatic posts that surfaced on Tuesday evening.
One of the posts stated: "Prepare yourselves for something major in the crypto field! What are your thoughts? Take a look at our upcoming post!". The team then showcased what seemed like a new collaboration in the crypto realm. Not long after, Schalke 04 acknowledged that this was a consequence of their account being compromised. The posts have since been removed.
After the breach, there were concerns about other German teams' accounts as well. Despite the hack, Schalke 04 managed to announce their crypto-related collaboration.
