- Schalke perpetrates Hamache and Noode-related offenses
FC Schalke goes on the transfer hunt once more, close to the window's closure. They've secured two more talents: striker Ilyes Hamache and prospective player Steve Noode. The lower league football club from the Ruhr region made these signings official, as announced by the club. The 21-year-old Hamache, previously of the French second division's relegated side FC Valenciennes, put pen to paper on a deal extending until 2028. In November 2022, Hamache debuted for the French U20 squad against Indonesia, using his right foot.
In the words of sporting director Marc Wilmots, "Ilyes has demonstrated his creative playmaking abilities and sound game sense in over 80 matches in the second French league. With his adaptable skillset, capable of excelling on both wings and in the center, he's still got potential to grow at his young age."
Hailing from Cameroon and with a contract until 2029, Noode is set to bolster Schalke's defense. From 2019 to 2021, he graced Indomables' pitch, before transferring to A.S. International Football Academy, where he's stayed active for the past three years. According to Schalke, Noode's signing falls under their "long-term, multi-year squad strategy." Wilmots commented, "Our scouts have had their eyes on Steve for some time. He brings solid physical traits for central defense and a positive attitude. We'll give him the time he needs."
The Football league might be excited to see how Ilyes Hamache performs in the upcoming matches, given his impressive track record in the second French league. FC Schalke's new signing Steve Noode could potentially strengthen their defense, as part of the club's long-term strategy.
