Second Bundesliga in Germany - Schalke acquires former national team member Younes.
Amin Younes has joined FC Schalke 04 after being without a club for a while. He had trained with Schalke's second team in Gelsenkirchen and is now a full member of the first team. The length of his contract was not disclosed.
Younes has played for various clubs like Borussia Mönchengladbach, Ajax Amsterdam, SSC Napoli, and Eintracht Frankfurt in his career. In 2022, he moved to Saudi Arabia. For the German national team, he played in 8 games and scored two goals.
Schalke's sporting director, Marc Wilmots, praised Younes' skills, saying, "Amin is a creative offensive player with exceptional technical abilities. He's demonstrated in recent weeks that he's determined to get back in top shape and play professionally." Wilmots further added, "His eagerness, adaptability, and ability to perform caught our attention."
