Soccer team Schalke 04, currently in the second division, has renewed Michael Langer's contract for another season. The 39-year-old has been with the club for seven years and the news was revealed on Wednesday.

Langer came on board from Swedish team IFK Norrköping in 2017. Club's sporting director, Marc Wilmots, commented, "It's great to have such an experienced goalkeeper like Michael. He's a wonderful asset for both the team and the young players, who can gain a lot from his experience on and off the field."
