Magdeburg's SC team celebrated their highly successful handball season with their fans at the city's marketplace. Following the presentation of the championship trophy, the German champions along with their team members and staff displayed their awards from the town hall balcony to approximately 4000 spectators on a Sunday evening.

Magdeburg's mayor, Simone Borris, served as the host, congratulating the players, coaches, caretakers, and everyone who played a part in these achievements. She personally delivered the championship cup to captain Christian O'Sullivan after their 37:34 victory in the Bundesliga final against Hamburg-Schwarz-Weiß Wetzlar. After their balcony appearance, the handball players signed their way into the Golden Book of the town hall for the fourth time in four years.

In this exceptional season, Magdeburg has bagged the championship, the cup win, and the World Cup victory. Their next opportunity for glory arises in the coming week at the Final Four in Cologne, where they plan to defend their Champions League title as they did last year.
