Following a 37:34 victory against HSG Wetzlar on Sunday during the Bundesliga finals, Magdeburg's mayor Simone Borris presented the cup to SCM captain Christian O'Sullivan. The team was then scheduled to honor their fans at the city hall's town square. Additionally, coach Bennet Wiegert was recognized as the "Coach of the Season" for the second time in 2022.
