Freiburg's Noah Atubolu to miss games due to appendectomy. The 22-year-old will undergo surgery on his appendix, the Bundesliga club announced. No specifics on potential recovery time were provided. Last season, Atubolu was named the starting goalkeeper and played all 34 league games in full. He also saw action in the Europa League and DFB-Pokal.

Freiburg still has two other goalkeepers on their roster: Florian Müller and new signing Jannik Huth. It's unclear who will start in goal this Saturday against Racing Strasbourg in Colmar.

SC Freiburg will need to rely on Florian Müller or new signing Jannik Huth to fill in for Noah Atubolu, who is scheduled for appendectomy and will miss some games. Despite Atubolu's absence, Freiburg has a strong backup in Müller, who has experience in the Bundesliga.
