Hunt for Fugitive intensifies - Saxony police conduct extensive search for offenders.
In the near future, a new search and competence center will be established in Dippoldiswalde. The current center in Bautzen is moving to Görlitz to better serve the border area. The other two facilities are located in Chemnitz and Plauen.
Along with this development, a joint trinational police operational service station is being created in collaboration with Poland and the Czech Republic. This will enable a stronger response to cross-border crimes and smuggling. Schuster mentioned that the Federal Police make approximately 30 arrests in the border region each day.
