Soccer - Sané on FCB's future: "See what happens on the pitch"
According toLeroy Sané, he has not given any thought to the time after his contract with FC Bayern Munich, which runs until the summer of 2025. "We will sit down together at some point and make a decision. But there is still time. I'm currently looking more at what's happening on the pitch - and not in the offices," said the national team player in an interview with "Sport Bild" (Wednesday). "Of course there won't be three or four more big contracts in my career. But I haven't really thought about it yet."
Sané, who played the best first half of his time at Bayern, is now enjoying life in Munich. "I've been playing here since 2020, I basically feel comfortable and I really appreciate the fact that the club has sent out signals that it wants to extend my contract. That gives me a good feeling and makes me happy. Of course, I'll talk to FC Bayern first," he said. When asked whether he would like to have clarity before next summer's European Championship, the 27-year-old replied: "To be honest, I haven't thought about that yet."
