Major League Soccer - Sandro Schwarz new coach in New York

Soccer coach Sandro Schwarz has found a new job in the USA. The 45-year-old will be the new coach at New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer, as the club announced on Thursday. Schwarz was relieved of his duties at the then Bundesliga club Hertha BSC last April. Prior to that, he had also coached 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Russian club Dynamo Moscow.

"Sandro is a great leader who fits our culture, and his experience as a head coach in Europe fits what we want to achieve," said German sporting director Jochen Schneider of New York Red Bulls, the sister club of Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

He is "very motivated to achieve many great things with this club", Schwarz said, "and I am looking forward to tackling the coming season".

Sandro Schwarz, the newly appointed coach of Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls, has coaching experience in both Europe and Russia, having managed clubs like Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga and Dynamo Moscow. Although born in Germany, Sandro is eager to make a significant impact in American soccer, specifically with the New York Red Bulls. Meanwhile, Hertha BSC, based in Berlin, will need to find a new coach following Schwarz's departure. New York share a sister club with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, which could provide a strong support system for Schwarz in his new role.
