Leipzig - Sandra Hüller joins in protest against right-wing extremists.
"Our main objective is to prevent our communities and Europe from falling into the hands of the right-wingers. We're fighting for a unified, socially-conscious, and environmentally-friendly Europe, as opposed to a nationalist Europe that promotes isolation and exclusion," stressed Irena Rudolph-Kokot from 'Hand in Hand Leipzig.' The actress Sandra Hüller, originally from Suhl, now resides in Leipzig.
The organizers anticipate at least 5000 participants in the protest on Saturday, beginning at 3:00 pm on Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz in the exhibition town. Following the speeches, demonstrators plan to march across the inner city ring road. Coincidentally, the 'We are the Berlin Wall Dresden' action group has issued a call for a massive gathering with the slogan 'Stop right-wing extremism - Defend democracy' at Theaterplatz in the state capital.
