Heavy rainfall in the last few days caused the Rhine to rise in Neuendorf, Koblenz. Flood protection barriers were erected to combat potential flood risks. Experts predict a water level of 6.5 meters, which the city alerted the public about on Sunday. Additionally, tributaries of the Rhine will also see an increase in water levels. Parking areas close to the Rhine in Koblenz have enforced prohibitions against parking. Over the next 24 hours, authorities will determine if more barriers will be installed and when to shut the high water doors.
