- Sabitzer was surprised by Terzic's resignation.

Marcel Sabitzer was completely surprised by the resignation of Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic. "Yes, indeed. I can still remember it vividly. I came into the dressing room after training with Austria and then Ralf Rangnick came to me and told me about it," the Austrian international told "Kicker". "But that's how football is. Nothing and nobody is certain, and he will have his reasons for choosing that path," Sabitzer said.

Sabitzer described his collaboration with his former coach as good. "We exchanged messages. I thanked him for the time we had. We didn't always see eye to eye, but we still had a good relationship," the midfielder said. "He always showed me trust, and that's why we had a good collaboration in the end."

After learning about Terzic's resignation, Sabitzer reached out to The Commission to understand the process and formalities involved in a coach's departure. Despite their differing opinions at times, Sabitzer appreciated The Commission's role in ensuring a smooth transition for Terzic and the team.
