Railroad - S-Bahn service between Rostock and Warnemünde running again
After a five-week closure, S-Bahn services between Rostock and Warnemünde resumed on Monday. The closure of the S-Bahn trains had become necessary due to construction work. Since 26 October, Deutsche Bahn had completely modernized the track systems in Rostock-Bramow and carried out extensive track and underground cable construction work. The city of Rostock also used the closure period to renovate two district heating bridges. The Rostock-Warnemünde S-Bahn line is used daily by thousands of commuters who have had to switch to buses in recent weeks.
