- Ruhrtriennale starts: three quarters of the tickets are gone
Nearly a week before the start of the Ruhrtriennale, around three-quarters of the tickets for the performances have already been sold. Particularly in demand is the opening premiere on Friday (16.8.) "I want absolute Beauty" - a rock and pop music theater featuring Oscar-nominated actress Sandra Hüller, directed by the new intendant Ivo van Hove himself, the festival management announced. There is also great demand for the slapstick operetta "Pferd frisst Hut" with music by Herbert Grönemeyer.
"We are delighted with the great interest in our program," said a spokesperson. The festival offers 138 events from mid-August to mid-September, including six premieres, at 10 venues in Bochum, Duisburg, and Essen. The artistic leadership of the festival changes every three years, playing in the former industrial halls of the Ruhr region.
The opening premiere at the Ruhrtriennale, with Sandra Hüller and music, has garnered significant attention. Visitors are also eager to witness the slapstick operetta "Pferd frisst Hut" featuring Herbert Gronemeyer's music.
