- Ruhrtriennale is offering "bring your friends"
The Ruhrtriennale music and theater festival, starting this Friday, is luring audiences with discount offers and a "Wunderland" festival center for relaxation between events. Around three-quarters of the approximately 41,000 tickets have been sold, festival director Ivo van Hove announced in Bochum on Tuesday. Discounts are being offered for selected events under the "Bring your friends" scheme, allowing full-price ticket holders to bring up to three companions at half price.
The four-week festival kicks off on Friday with the sold-out opening premiere "I want absolute Beauty" - a rock and pop music theater featuring Oscar-nominated actress Sandra Hüller, directed by new festival director Ivo van Hove himself. A total of 32 productions with 140 performances are planned in Bochum, Duisburg, and Essen until September 15. The festival center for parties, workshops, food, and drinks will open at the Bochum Jahrhunderthalle.
The Theatre festival, a part of the Ruhrtriennale, includes multiple productions like the rock and pop music theater "I want absolute Beauty". Visitors can relax and unwind at the festival center located in the Bochum Jahrhunderthalle between events.
