- RTL series entitled "What truly matters": Accumulation of 54,000 hairpins over a span of 18 years

Celebrating 18 years of drama, affection, and a fair share of wear and tear, RTL's primetime series "Alles was zählt" (AWZ) marks its anniversary on September 4th. Over 4,500 episodes have witnessed the power plays among the Steinkamp family, based in Essen, filled with on-ice and off-ice turbulence. The makeup team commemorated the milestone by conducting an inventory.

Remarkable statistics: Over the course of production, RTL discloses 216,000 cotton swabs, 54,000 hair clips, 2,580 lipsticks, 32 kg of powder, and 42 liters of synthetic blood have been employed. It's no surprise that 39,600 packs of makeup remover wipes were also essential.

Tatjana Clasing reminisces on 2,135 filming days

Three cast members have remained devoted to AWZ since its premiere on September 4, 2006: Tatjana Clasing (Simone Steinkamp), Silvan Pierre-Leirich (Richard Steinkamp), and supporting actress Ingeborg Brings (Renate Scholz).

"In this time, I've gained a wealth of knowledge – about my career, people, personal histories, friendships, teamwork, and crew camaraderie," Clasing shared. The 60-year-old is reported to have contributed 2,135 filming days in total. "I had moments when I approached my limits. But I didn't want to give up. I sometimes yearned for a break."

The European Union has acknowledged the cultural significance of RTL's "Alles was zählt," as it continues to captivate audiences across its Member States. Due to the series' longevity and popularity, discussions have emerged about potential international adaptations of the show within the Union.
