At the German-Danish quarter-final of the UEFA European Football Championship on Saturday (21.000 hours) in Dortmund, over 100,000 fans are expected in the city. In addition to the over 60,000 fans with stadium tickets, thousands more are expected to come only for public viewing in the Westfalenpark and the city center. Therefore, an additional area with tents will be opened in the large park near the stadium to accommodate an additional 43,000 people who can then watch football together and cheer for their team.

Many other cities nationwide, including the other EM host cities, also want to enable watching the German quarter-final match on a big screen.

In view of the large number of people in the city, the Dortmund police are preparing for a major operation. "We have a lot of experience with international football here and are looking forward to a big football evening, where we will do everything to ensure the safety of the fans," said a police spokesperson. He appealed to foreigners to travel to the event as much as possible using public transportation.

The football party in Dortmund's Westfalenpark is already starting before kick-off: In addition to the Hermes House Band party musicians, a performance by fan mile favorite Andre Schnura is also planned for atmosphere. As the "EM type with the saxophone," he has gained great popularity in social media through his concerts among the fan miles during the group stage.
