Hansa Rostock dropped their first victory in the new 3rd Liga season, succumbing to a late strike once more. Facing Dortmund II, Bernd Hollerbach's squad held the lead for an extended period but ultimately ended up with a 1:1 draw (1:0). Julian Hettwer scored the equalizer in the 90.+5 minutes, snatching victory from Rostock. Dortmund's Kjell Arik Wätjen had earlier scored an own goal in the 17th minute, offering the home team a glimmer of hope until the very end.

Rostock's initial run in the 3rd Liga has been rocky. They failed to triumph in their first two encounters and were also ousted from the DFB-Pokal by Hertha BSC with a score of 1:5. The troubles didn't stop there; their primary sponsor terminated the agreement ahead of schedule. In response, the club publicly condemned hurtful remarks and threats on social media ahead of the Dortmund match.

Despite the challenging start in the 3rd Liga, Rostock showed resilience in their Soccer match against Dortmund II. Despite taking the lead through an own goal from Dortmund's Wätjen, they struggled to hold onto it and eventually settled for a draw, with Julian Hettwer scoring an equalizer late in the game.
