After two years with the Seawolves, Derrick Alston is leaving the Mecklenburg basketball club. The American scored 1,201 points in 71 competitive games for Rostock.

Rostock Seawolves lose their top scorer. The Basketball Bundesligist announced that Derrick Alston will leave the Mecklenburgers. The 26-year-old American is looking for a new challenge in a European country after two years at the Baltic Sea.

"It was an amazing experience, to be the first time in Europe and to play for such an organization. It helped me both personally and athletically," said the Forward, who scored 1,201 points for the Seawolves in 71 league games.

The Rostock Seawolves will need to find a replacement for their talented scorer Derrick Alston, who has announced his departure to seek a new challenge in another European country. Despite his departure, Derrick's impact on the Basketball Bundesliga team in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Germany will not be forgotten, having scored 1,201 points in just 71 league games.
